One of our goals for CFP this year is to broaden the community by increasing our online visibility.
How to follow CFP2009 online has more information ... please us help spread the word by sending it to friends and mailing lists that are likely to be interested in these issues.
If you'd like to get involved, here's how.
Twitter
The best way for you to help with minimal time investment is to tweet information about CFP and CFP-related issues using the
#cfp09 hashtag:
- if you're not sure what to tweet, check out our Tweeting points -- we'll keep them updated throughout the conference
- if you're not on Twitter, please consider signing up! There's links to getting-started information here ... and we'll be covering Twitter along with other social networks in the "Privacy advocates on social networks" session in the Twittering in the Trenches workshop.
Ask your lawmaker about Computers, Freedom, and Privacy
If you've got a little more time, please get involved with
Ask your Lawmaker about Computers, Freedom, and Privacy. Vote on questions already in the system, or submit your own and tag them with
cfp09 so they're easy find them. Capitol News Connections' journalists have already gotten the first answer to one of these questions ... perhaps yours will be next!
Blogging
If you're feeling even more ambitious, consider blogging about CFP!
- If you're posting something on your own blog, please tweet the link to the #cfp09 hashtag or send mail to cfp2009chairs[at]gmail[dot]com and we'll include it in our roundup posts.
- If you'd like to guest-post on the CFP blog, please let us know here
- If you'd like to live-blog one of the sessions at the conference, please sign up here
